The Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test is designed to assess essential knowledge required to work safely in construction and related industries. The test consists of 50 questions that draw from five main areas of health, safety and environmental awareness:
Candidates are given 45 minutes to complete the test. The assessment now uses a variety of question formats, including behavioural case studies that evaluate how well applicants understand safety issues and apply good practice on site.
CITB continually updates the HS&E test to ensure it remains relevant and effective in helping workers and employers maintain safe working environments.
